that my blog existed for the purpose of me writing
thoughts and insights about God, but I decided that
my comfort is greater than God's glory. You know
what I realized?
Comfort is overrated.
As one whose citizenship is elsewhere, I should feel
uncomfortable about my presence in this world, but
slowly my life seems more comfortable about the
state I'm in rather than the sanctifying state I should
be striving for.
I rather play games than attempt to meet up with
brothers. I rather watch movies than attempt to share
to my non-believing friends about the Gospel. I rather
be on the internet than to pray and read. I rather live
a life in this world than look forward to a life with my
Father. I rather just sit here or lay on my bed than to
be active.
Christ told us that we will be persecuted for believing in
Him. Paul knew the difficulties of believing in Christ, yet
continued. The author of Hebrews is encouraging his
audience to have patience and perseverance over the trials
and persecutions. I should live more like an ambassador
for God than be part of the crowd in an imperfect world.
